Fans of Maon Kurosaki will also be delighted to hear that she will be making her first appearance in Singapore. A powerful anisong singer whose vast repertoire includes the theme songs to Highschool of the Dead, Toaru Majitsu no Index II and the Grisaia anime series, she last performed in the region at Bangkok Comic Con 2014. A founding member of three-member technopop unit ALTIMA with Move's Motsu and fripside's Sat, be prepared to be enthralled by her dynamic vocals this June.

CAPTAIN TSUBASA SOARS TO SINGAPORE

In addition, Yoichi Tsukahashi, the artist of popular long-running soccer manga Captain Tsubasa, will be making his way to the shores of Singapore to share more about the series and his work. Kenjiro Ogino, goalkeeper of Japanese S-League club Albirex Nigata shared that he has been greatly inspired by Captain Tsubasa since young and has always wanted to recreate those spectacular goals in the manga. I guess all his burning questions, and yours, will finally get to be answered when you get to meet the creator himself up close at CharaExpo in June.

RYO HORIKAWA: EPIC LEVEL OVER 9000

Appealing to both seasoned and fresh anime fans alike, Ryo Horikawa, the voice behind all-time favourite character Vegeta from the Dragon Ball series, will also be coming down to CharaExpo. To quote directly from the media kit, "The epic level of legendary voice actor Ryo Horikawa's first appearance in Singapore is going to be over 9000!" The last time we saw a legend here was Megumi Ogata, who performed at the greatly-received Lantis Festival in Singapore in March. With another all-time coming down, 2015 looks set to be an unprecedented year of legends for Singapore.

MEET CARDFIGHT!! VANGUARD AND FUTURE CARD BUDDYFIGHT CREATORS

Of course, being a convention strongly supported by Bushiroad, fans of the Cardfight!! Vanguard and Future Card Buddyfight trading card game and anime series can expect to meet both creators of the popular mega-franchises. In line with CharaExpo's vision of bringing content creators closer to the audiences, Akira Itou (Cardfight!! Vanguard manga artist) and Mitsuhisa Tamura (Future Card Buddyfight manga author) will be making an appearance at CharaExpo. Did I forget to mention that card illustrators Daisukelzuka and Kaoru Hagiya (check your card illustration credits!) will be making their way down to our sunny little red dot too?
